Description

The all-purpose Scarpa Thunder rock shoes can handle cracks, slabs and sessions at the rock gym. The comfortable toe box won't smash your toes, which makes it ideal for long days at the crag and multipitch climbs. In addition, the shoe has ventilation holes (older version) and ventilation slits (newer version) on the sides to encourage airflow to keep your feet cool and dry.

Review

The Scarpa Thunders are a great all-around climbing shoe. I have the older version in yellow and they are very comfortable, especially in the toe box. The 4mm rubber outsole is great for backstepping and standing on micro-edges. The Scarpa Thunders are pretty good with smearing, despite the fact that they have a stiff rubber outsole. I can wear these shoes all day while climbing and my feet never get sore. In addition, the leather doesn't seem to stretch at all even with repeated use and sweating.
